Why do I need a valid referral letter?

You need a valid refer­ral let­ter from your GP or Spe­cial­ist to be cov­ered by the Medicare Rebate. If you do not have a valid refer­ral let­ter for a pro­ce­dure or con­sul­ta­tion then you will be respon­si­ble for set­tling your account. Please note that a refer­ral from a GP has a dura­tion of 12 months, and from a spe­cial­ist is 3 months.

What do I need to bring for an appointment?

All you need for an appoint­ment with Mr Sie­u­nar­ine is a valid refer­ral let­ter and your medicare card or DVA card. No mon­ey will be required as Mr Sie­u­nar­ine bulk bills all patients.

If you have a doppler test you will need to bring your medicare card or DVA card and wear com­fort­able loose cloth­ing. You will be required to walk on a tread­mill for a short amount of time.

I have had an operation, will I need an appointment?

Yes, you will need to make a fol­low up appoint­ment with Mr Sie­u­nar­ine as mon­i­tor­ing your recov­ery is impor­tant after an oper­a­tion. It is rec­om­mend­ed you make an appoint­ment for 2 — 3 weeks after your pro­ce­dure. Please note that it is the patients respon­si­bil­i­ty to make a fol­low up appointment.
